Golden coves, clear water, and arrival by boat.

Home Abel Tasman Elopement
A decade of quiet love. For more than ten years we have planned intimate elopements in Abel Tasman National Park, from the golden sand of Little Kaiteriteri to hidden coves at Bark Bay and Tonga Arches reached only by water.

A coastal paradise reached on the water.

Abel Tasman pairs golden beaches and crystal-clear water with lush native forest, in the sunniest region in New Zealand. Many of its most beautiful spots are accessible only by boat, kayak or helicopter, which means real privacy and serenity for your ceremony, far from anyone else.

For couples who want adventure woven into their wedding, this is where it begins. Some of our most loved ceremonies have happened on secluded beaches at Adele Island and Bark Bay, with vows exchanged on the sand and the whole bay to themselves. The decision is never about choosing 'small'. It's about choosing what matters.

Queenstown Story Detail

Three ways to say “I Do” in Abel Tasman.

A coastline designed for love.

Six quiet reasons couples keep choosing Abel Tasman: the golden sand, the clear water, the sunshine and the privacy of places only the water can reach.

01

The Sunniest Region

More sunshine hours than anywhere else in the country mean your day is bathed in golden light.

02

Pristine Beaches & Coves

Spots like Little Kaiteriteri, Bark Bay and Tonga Arches are postcard-perfect and naturally beautiful.

03

Adele Island

A private island ceremony offers seclusion and serenity few destinations can match.

04

Reached Only by Water

Boat, kayak or helicopter access keeps these locations genuinely private.

05

Adventure & Relaxation

Sailing, hiking, sea kayaking and scenic cruises fill the days around your vows.

06

No Hidden Costs

All-inclusive packages keep the planning simple as well as luxurious.

Planning Timeline

From first hello to "I do".

From the first message in your inbox to the moment your ring catches the light over the water, your day moves through four quiet steps. We handle every detail, so you only have to arrive.

01
Enquire & dream together

A long, no-pressure conversation about who the two of you are, what you don't want and the moment you would quietly choose.

02
Choose your ceremony style

We draft a bespoke sketch with location options from a secluded beach to a private island to a water or air arrival, a celebrant we trust and a photographer whose work makes you feel something.

03
We handle every detail

Your package carries a registered NZ celebrant and your ceremony, professional photography and videography including ceremony footage and a highlight video, bridal hair and makeup by top New Zealand stylists, a bouquet and buttonhole of fresh locally sourced florals and a fine dining experience for two at a top Abel Tasman restaurant, with no hidden costs. Every thread, carried so you don't have to.

04
Your day unfolds naturally

And the day unfolds the way the best days always do: gently, exactly itself and over far too quickly.

"We came to Queenstown thinking we'd booked a wedding. What we got was an entire morning of our lives placed gently in someone else's hands — and a photograph we'll grow old underneath."
